Open letter to couples displaced by the recent closure of the Fort Wayne Landmark Conference and Reception Centre.

 

Even though the Landmark Conference and Reception Centre is not and has never been a member of the Wedding Connection, our members feel strongly about weddings in the Fort Wayne area. The Wedding Connection members are dedicated to assisting bridal couples in finding alternative locations for their wedding (ceremony and/or reception).

 

Engaged couples who have future events scheduled at the Landmark in Fort Wayne, Indiana, will want to contact these member facilities as soon as possible to verify date availability at their individual locations.

Fort Wayne Reception Sites Helping Out Couples

Staff members at Ceruti’s Summit Park and Orchard Ridge Country Club are working with couples who must relocate their wedding reception due to the recent closure of the Landmark Conference and Reception Centre. Brides and grooms who have upcoming events booked at the Landmark in Fort Wayne, Indiana will want to contact these facilities as soon as possible to check on available dates at their respective venues.

 

Ceruti’s is located at 6601 Innovation Drive in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They offer two separate reception rooms at the Summit Park location and are exclusive caterers and booking contacts at other Fort Wayne locations including Bergstaff Place and the Fort Wayne Woman’s Club as well as the Grey Goose Golf Club in Decatur, Indiana. Orchard Ridge Country Club is located at 4531 Lower Huntington Road. They offer a full menu selection and can accommodate wedding receptions up to 400 guests. Wedding Day Magazine Features Fort Wayne Wedding Connection Bride

Three Wedding Connection members (along with other local wedding professionals) helped bride Melanie Cismowski and groom Douglas McGregor create an elegant wedding on May 24, 2008. Melanie and Douglas’ wedding was one of the couples featured in the Winter 2009 edition of Wedding Day Magazine.  The couple worked with the Monogram Shoppe on their invitations and held their reception at Orchard Ridge Country Club. Linda Maggert AIFD (of One of a Kind Events) took care of the couples flowers as well a being their wedding coordinator.

Melanie chose the vintage inspired “Rhianna Royale” gown by Maggie Sottero topped with a mantilla style fingertip veil to complete the picture perfect look. Although blue is her favorite color (it matches her eyes), she chose to stay with rich fabrics and colors for the bridal party attire and accented with flowers of the blue and ivory with a touch of yellow for fun and contrast. Details like a bagpiper playing as they exited and an old fashioned trolley  to take the wedding party from church to reception added just the right touch to the ceremony.
