Megasound’s website (www.megasound1.com) has a fresh, new look. They unveiled their updated website this week and are excited to share it with Fort Wayne brides and grooms. The new site includes a searchable blog that features all sorts of wedding planning ideas, helpful tips, and updates on events and music. Wedding planning is now a little easier for couples with Megasound’s reduced stress planning options.

They give couples the option of also selecting a male or female Officiant as well as MC and DJ for their dream wedding. Wedding Connection members the Wedding Place, the Monogram Shoppe, and Megasound are proud sponsors of the Fort Wayne Bridal Academy. Their next session is Thursday, April 8 starting at 6:30pm. This season is themed “Bridal Pampering” and includes an evening of relaxation, fun, and tips to on how to avoid stress during the planning process and a bride’s wedding day.
Some of the de-stress type topics include “Overcome Wedding Day Emergencies” by Dawn Quick of The Wedding Place, “Roadmap - I Do to I Will” by Sara Keltsch of The Monogram Shoppe, and “It’s Your Party; Don’t Cry” by June Hoffman of Megasound. Brides will also receive additional pampering in the form of awesome wedding cake from Carolyn Pruden of Elegant Cakes by Carolyn, chocolate indulgences from Angela Dippel of the Fort Wayne Chocolate Fountain, a unique makeup artistry demonstration from Cara Digate (a local Esthetician), and relaxation techniques from the Forum Spa.

Even though the Landmark Conference and Reception Centre is not and has never been a member of the Wedding Connection, our members feel strongly about weddings in the Fort Wayne area. The Wedding Connection members are dedicated to assisting bridal couples in finding alternative locations for their wedding (ceremony and/or reception).

Staff members at Ceruti’s Summit Park and Orchard Ridge Country Club are working with couples who must relocate their wedding reception due to the recent closure of the Landmark Conference and Reception Centre. Brides and grooms who have upcoming events booked at the Landmark in Fort Wayne, Indiana will want to contact these facilities as soon as possible to check on available dates at their respective venues.
Ceruti’s is located at 6601 Innovation Drive in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They offer two separate reception rooms at the Summit Park location and are exclusive caterers and booking contacts at other Fort Wayne locations including Bergstaff Place and the Fort Wayne Woman’s Club as well as the Grey Goose Golf Club in Decatur, Indiana. The Monogram Shoppe is offering a 25% discount to couples who need to reprint their wedding invitations due to the abrupt closure of the Landmark Conference and Reception Centre. Those displaced couples will want to contact the Monogram Shoppe at 260-483-3136. Couples will want to bring a copy of their original invitation to get the best match possible. They can set up an appointment to rework their invitations with the Monogram Shoppe once they have located a suitable Fort Wayne event facility for their wedding ceremony and/or reception.

Bridal Tour a Success!

The Bridal Academy Sponsors (The Wedding Place, The Monogram Shoppe, and Megasound) featured the very first “Bridal Academy Tour” on February 28th. A big “thank you” to all of the 2010 and 2011 brides and their guests for being part of the this inaugural event. The best part is that the tour was chock-full with bridal education, store tours, sweet treats and lunch, and a limo journey thru Downtown Fort Wayne.
The event was an enormous success with brides already asking the next tour dates. This sensational time was made possible with help from many Bridal Academy Supporters including the New Shoe of a Different Color, Club Car Limo, One of a Kind Events , Andy Pauquette Photography, Fort Wayne Chocolate Fountain, Elegant Cakes by Carolyn, Lillian Rose, Hampton Inn FW-Southwest, Merle Norman, Bob Mutton Rental, and Orchard Ridge Country Club. The brides certainly enjoyed wedding planning seminars, sweet delights, helpful wedding-prep literature, awesome bridal bags full of special gifts, and much more.
Due to the demand for an encore tour, the Sponsors are working on the next Bridal Academy Tour for 2010. Details will be available as soon as the date and plans are finalized. Newly engaged or already planning your dream wedding? The Fort Wayne Bridal Spectacular is right around the corner on January 2nd and 3rd. Many of the Wedding Connection members will be on site during this two-day bridal event. The New York-style runway fashion show is at 2pm Saturday with an encore presentation on Sunday at 2pm. The Wedding Place will be featuring totally hot styles from new designers for bridal gowns, bridesmaids dresses, and other wedding party attire. One of a Kind Events will feature a lovely selection of creative and unique bridal bouquets and other wedding flowers, and Megasound will be on hand for all the MC work and runway soundtrack.

Regardless of where you are in your wedding planning, the Bridal Spectacular has something for everyone. Northern Indiana’s “Largest Bridal Show” is Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 12pm-4pm. Plan to visit Wedding Connection members as they share with brides and grooms extensive wedding expertise as well as inspiring wedding planning options.
The Wedding Place will take center stage at 2pm for an awesome, fast-paced wedding style show. Formal attire for all members of the wedding party will be on display for you to enjoy. Bouquets, boutonnières, and other floral accessories from One of a Kind Events will accent the stunning wedding attire on the runway. Megasound will provide MC services as well as the high-energy soundtrack for this dazzling fashion show.
The Bridal Spectacular is every brides opportunity to meet other Wedding Connection members (including K&S Travel, Picture Perfect Photography, the Monogram Shoppe, Elegant Cakes by Carolyn, Ceruti’s Catering, LC Media, Orchard Ridge Country Club, and more). Many of the wedding products and services that you need to plan an awesome wedding, will be available in one convenient location at the Fort Wayne Bridal Spectacular.
Tickets are available on show day only at the Memorial Coliseum 4000 Parnell Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Tickets are $5.50 each with free admission for children under 12.
