This contest runs through December 20, 2010 and the winning couple will be announced on December 25th. Couples are asked to submit a short letter to the company answering the question, “What qualities are important to you (the bride and groom) in a DJ/MC/Officiant company for your wedding?” to win this wedding ceremony giveaway. Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, email address, date and location of wedding ceremony, and the reason why you deserve to win this wedding contest. Fort Wayne Newspapers Reader’s Choice Award Winners Named

The Fort Wayne Newspapers released the listing of the 2010 Reader’s Choice Pick Awards. Each year, the Fort Wayne Newspapers challenges local readers in selecting Fort Wayne’s best individuals and businesses in many different categories.  

 

Four Wedding Connection Members received top honors and were honored in a special newspaper selection over the weekend. MJ Studios won first place in the “Photography Studio” category. In the “Shops” grouping, the Wedding Place took second place in the “Bridal Shop” group and Freeman Jewelers was named second place in the “Jewelry Shop” class. One of a Kind Events took the third place spot for “Wedding Planner”.

Brides to Receive Pampering and Planning Tips

Wedding Connection members the Wedding Place, the Monogram Shoppe, and Megasound  are proud sponsors of the Fort Wayne Bridal Academy. Their next session is Thursday, April 8 starting at 6:30pm. This season is themed “Bridal Pampering” and includes an evening of relaxation, fun, and tips to on how to avoid stress during the planning process and a bride’s wedding day.

Some of the de-stress type topics include “Overcome Wedding Day Emergencies” by Dawn Quick of The Wedding Place, “Roadmap - I Do to I Will” by Sara Keltsch of The Monogram Shoppe, and “It’s Your Party; Don’t Cry” by June Hoffman of Megasound. Brides will also receive additional pampering in the form of awesome wedding cake from Carolyn Pruden of Elegant Cakes by Carolyn, chocolate indulgences from Angela Dippel of the Fort Wayne Chocolate Fountain, a unique makeup artistry demonstration from Cara Digate (a local Esthetician), and relaxation techniques from the Forum Spa.

Members Featured in “Arts de la Table”

The Monogram Shoppe and the Wedding Place are pleased to announce that they will have tables featured at the annual “Arts de la Table” this month. This fundraiser for the Carriage House, will be held April 12 and 13 at Fort Wayne Country Club, 5221 Covington Road.

 

The tables will be decorated by other local businesses as well. The designers at both shops are excited to be among the exclusive group of professionals participating in this fund raising event. The Wedding Place table is titled “New York Nuptials” and features sophisticated and chic, cutting edge details. The Monogram Shoppe’s table is dubbed “You are Invited” and is an elegant display of the classy invitations and unique paper products.  The table preview and silent auction will be 6 to 8 p.m. on April 12, 2010. Tickets are $45 per person.

 

The luncheon, with keynote speaker Frederick J. Frese III, will be on April 13, 2010. Tickets are $100 per person. Table viewing begins at 9:30 a.m. and lunch is served at 12:15 p.m. Frese is a psychologist who was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 1965.

Fort Wayne Reception Sites Helping Out Couples

Staff members at Ceruti’s Summit Park and Orchard Ridge Country Club are working with couples who must relocate their wedding reception due to the recent closure of the Landmark Conference and Reception Centre. Brides and grooms who have upcoming events booked at the Landmark in Fort Wayne, Indiana will want to contact these facilities as soon as possible to check on available dates at their respective venues.

 

Ceruti’s is located at 6601 Innovation Drive in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They offer two separate reception rooms at the Summit Park location and are exclusive caterers and booking contacts at other Fort Wayne locations including Bergstaff Place and the Fort Wayne Woman’s Club as well as the Grey Goose Golf Club in Decatur, Indiana.
